Benson Mhlongo Injury Setback for the Buccaneers
Orlando Pirates boss Ruud Krol has admitted that the loss of Buccaneers captain, Benson Mhlongo will come as a big blow to his side’s Soweto Derby aspirations. The Bafana Bafana midfielder suffered a serious knee injury in Bucs’ 2-1 defeat to AmaZulu on Wednesday evening.
A report on Bucs’ official website reads: ‘An X-Ray conducted at a near by clinic revealed that ‘Mayanga’ dislocated a Patella on his knee. The report further reads that Mholongo’s dislocation was reduced and was brought back to normal under strong local analgesics, before he was sent to a private clinic.

Ye-Ye - The Derby is Whatever Happens on the Day
According to Kickoff, in-form Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane believes current form will count for nothing on Saturday in the Soweto Derby and fans should not read anything into Orlando Pirates’ poor form of late.
“The Derby is whatever happens on the day and not what has been happening in the games before. We don’t care how they played or how they have been playing. What matters to us is our own performance and getting the result that we want. How Pirates play is not important to us,” says Letsholonyane.
